I have tried to tariffs, do a bit of comparison, India when it comes to Internet penetration. Of course I did not expect to see some stellar figures. But if I was actually India Internet usage with its neighbours I amazed to see how poor Indian tariffs in comparison.
Can imagine that Pakistan has Internet penetrations of more than 11 percent compared to India's 4.5 percent. This was my biggest surprise. Pakistan is a poorer country than India and terrorism has a toll on him. Even then, Internet penetration is more than double compared to India.
Countries such as Sri Lanka (5.8), Philippines (6.2), Indonesia (7.9) ranked much higher than India. If I had included countries such as Hong Kong and Singapore, India's chart-line is not visible, as these countries have about 70 to 80 percent of people with Internet!
